Ian Dury: Rare and Unseen is another successful addition to the series that covers the singer through rare footage, original film and videos, newsreels, and photographs from private collections.

The DVD is the fifth in the series and does an exceptional job at examining the British rock-n-roll singer, Ian Dury, though unfamiliar footage. Those who are unfamiliar with him will be introduced to his unique style that relies heavily on lyrics and less on musical technicalities.

The release of the DVD coincides with the 10th anniversary of Dury's death and features his most memorable songs with the blockheads such as "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll." The film also uncovers his struggle with polio and eventually liver cancer which lead to his death. All of the information is information is presented in order and is highly loaded with comments and interview footage. The only problem is you might have difficulty deciphering some of the dialogue due to rich English accents.

For Dury fans the video is a must have, but if your not interested in 70s British rock, you might want to second guess your decision. It's all interesting none-the-less.
