4 out of 5 stars Post baby workout ...   July 29, 2010
MJEKS (NY)
I was having trouble finding time to workout with a newborn to look after. Once I received this video, all I do is pop this video in the CD player and workout in the same room as my napping baby. I don't know enough about Yoga to rate the accuracy of her techniques; I was just looking for a good workout and I sure got one! Within minues your entire body becomes engaged and your workout is resulting in sweat with an increased heart rate. I only gave it four stars because I couldnt rely solely on the narration to follow the workout and learn the moves. I had to strain my neck to see the tv ...but I'm sure after a few more sessions I'll learn the workout and won't need to rely on the visuals. Great workout! and invest in a yoga mat ... a towel just won't do! Enjoy!

4 out of 5 stars Great workout   July 26, 2010

This is a great workout, the DVD is about 25 minutes and you feel like it's time well spent. I've been to several Yoga classes and love the way this video incorporates movement to help burn calories. I haven't moved in to level 2, maybe in a couple more months ;)

4 out of 5 stars Great quick routine   July 25, 2010
Tanja Williamson (Friday Harbor, WA United States)
I read most of the previous reviews before I purchased this video. Over the last 5 years, I've practiced yoga off and on-not very good at keeping it up my practice. This video is simple to follow and Jillian uses very familiar yoga poses, which she moves through quickly to keep up your heart rate. What I like is that she does have compensatory moves, which a good yoga practice should, meaning that if you are focusing on your core and upper body, you need to also make sure you work your lower back to stabilize. As usual, I had a good start and "fell off the wagon," so I haven't made it to level 2 yet, but it's a great video to have around your house when you've only got 30 minutes or so to get a little workout. I am of average strength, so this video is great for me. Chataranga push-ups?! Crazy, but I'll get it one of these days!

4 out of 5 stars Jillian's Yoga   July 23, 2010

This is not your traditional Yoga tape. It moves rapidly from one movement to the next. I think this tape is for advanced Yoga devotees or advanced people physically. Still trying to work on most of the moves.

5 out of 5 stars A Pleasant Surprise   July 21, 2010
Brittany Morrissey (Central New York)
I wasn't sure what to expect from a Jillian Michaels Yoga video, however, I took a chance and bought the DVD. I have done many other yoga videos and have been practicing for more than 5 years. This is not a traditional yoga video, so if that is what you are looking for, you will not find it completely in this video.

This yoga work out made me sweat and is challenging in a good way. It is a unique approach to yoga and I think its refreshing. I am finding that its especially useful in toning my arms.

You will see many familiar yoga moves and sequences, like sun salutations; however you will also see different adaptations of these moves as well.

If you aren't familiar with yoga/yoga moves, I would suggest watching this video through first or your first time will be difficult because you will have to constantly look at the screen.

*This is definitely not as intense as her banish fat and boost metabolism dvd.
